Pros

My time at Sourcetoad has been the most rewarding year of my career in tech. Working on the Cruise Director project has given me the opportunity to tackle exciting challenges and take ownership of key features that make a real impact. The collaborative environment, paired with the chance to learn something new every day, has been instrumental in my growth as a developer. Sourcetoad fosters a culture of innovation, and being surrounded by such a talented team has pushed me to reach new heights in my skills and career. It’s truly been an amazing experience!

Cons

At times, the budget constraints can create some instability, which may affect long-term planning and resource allocation.

Pros

Sourcetoad is a great place to work with people who care about your personal growth.

Cons

There are not many cons; just in years, the company has been trying to evolve its business strategy to avoid layoffs, so there could still be some challenging roads ahead.

Pros

It can be a good place with decent work life balance. Management is usually willing to train and promote within. They are understanding and can really feel like a "perfect" place to work at times, which is why you will see lots of good reviews. But don't drink the kool aid!

Cons

Layoffs, layoffs, layoffs. Almost every year. No job security. Unfortanely no matter how hard you try to make a place have a great culture without money flowing in things fall apart. Sadly consulting is a very tough business with tight margins and highly dependent on clients whims. The main issue is it seems they can't figure out how to create a stable revenue and with a tough market and fierce competition from offshore firms Sourcetoad is in a tight spot. To me it also seems they overspend and overextend, all of the nice little perks you get as an employee come at a cost to the business. They also tend to overhire which caused a big downturn a couple of years ago where they invested into a possible business that when it went sour employees paid the price. Anyways I can't recommend this place because despite the possibility to be a great place they can't offer job security.
