Pros

Employees are friendly and enthusiastic Young, good looking team Excellent sales technique training Good for a summer job or for anyone without pressing money concerns who wants to learn a new skill No degree requirements or prior experience necessary Promise of advancement

Cons

Door to door sales Long hours, up to twelve hours a day Gas, food, and other travel expenses are not compensated 100% commission Extreme miles/wear on your car are legitimate concerns Time spent in the office for morning meetings is not paid "Optional" crew nights and team nights twice weekly often take place in bars, and alcohol consumption with team members is a regular and encouraged part of time spent outside of work Process (vs. promise, see above) of advancement is next to impossible, and success occurs mainly due to favoritism by managers and sheer luck in recruiting Standards for advancement rely exclusively on recruitment for the company "Meetings" are repetitive and designed to keep recruits around for as long as possible It's a numbers game; as soon as you leave, there is another fresh recruit ready to replace you Language used by managers in interviews, and even after you are hired, is vague and designed to keep the promise of advancement alive During my time at the company, I didn't meet a single employee (besides the manager) for whom money was not an issue at some point

I really wish you had been comfortable enough to express these feelings to me one on one so we could have maybe reached a middle ground. It's a shame to have our integrity questioned on a public forum, especially since we strive to be extremely transparent in our interviewing process. As you know, the second interview is a full day job observation. So, before an individual is even offered a position with our company he has the opportunity to see the exact position he is applying for. It is curious to us that you felt deceived about the position's responsibilities after a 7-hour day of observation. We realize that our corporate structure is not for everyone, but we can assure you that the opportunity to move into a management role within our company is, indeed, possible. Four individuals over a 3 year timespan have already done so successfully. Pros

Hannah is almost as awesome as the opportunity. The work environment is great, promotions are merit based, and I feel like apart of Hannah's family.

Cons

Not for the person who wants to slack at work.

Pros

Start time was 11ish which was nice, but then again that means you're knocking on personal homes after dark in the middle of nowhere sometimes.

Cons

Where to begin, from day one you are told that if you "put in the work, you will be successful" but that is forced down your throat by managers who make a percentage of every sale you make, and then the managers that hired them make a percentage off that and so on and so on. Basically you're a door to door sales man/woman who goes to supposed "interested" homes to offer them AT&T/DirectTV service (I think this has changed now, but that's what it was when I was there"basically you visit 40-60 homes in a shift with that hope you find that one person who doesn't slam the door in your face, tell you to screw yourself, or get the cops called on you (which happens probably once a month). These homes have no idea who you are, SOUTH does not provide you with anything to wear that identifies you with AT&T only an IPAD so people never think its legit. They expect you to go on these "business trips" but you aren't supplied with per diem or gas money so you're coming out of pocket for basically the entire trip. Oh and driving from home to home in your territory you are not reimbursed for gas either. Just stay away, if you're even considering this. The turnover rate is incredibly high, my time there probably 6-10 people would come and go within a week or so

Hello! Very confused by this review- our hours are 8 AM- 5 PM, so if you worked at a company that starts at 11 and knocks on residental homes then you have the wrong company. We only handle business accounts from 8-5 Monday-Friday. Thanks again
