Pros

I'm very fortunate to be on a very good team with a very good leader. This is job is difficult by virtue of motony, but I am fortunate enough to have teammates who care about the team and students. So far, I've been treated very well by everyone at South University.

Cons

It's a tough gig. You scale a mountain of rejection each day to try to find a foothold. Judging by what I've read here, I lucked into a really good manager because all jobs have detractors, but my Director is very good and I feel very supported.

Pros

Pay was within industry standards for my position (although on the low end). I met some awesome people, they just weren't around for long (see cons).

Cons

No training provided at all. Very high turnover. The amount of people who left or were fired during my time there was unbelievable. I knew that this was an issue with South, but did not know that it would be this bad. This turnover prevented the creation of meaningful connections with others. They do not always hire the most qualified people. Management is unhelpful and often distant. During my stint I had 5 different supervisors. My first supervisor was by far the best, but this person was suddenly fired or resigned. I believe that this is a problem from the top down. In my opinion supervisors do not get help or get unreasonable expectations from their supervisors and this filters down to others. Money is always tight and we are often unable to get what we need. Cross departmental communication is rare. Culture of fear exists. Employees are terminated seemingly for vague reasons and sometimes not even given details of why they were terminated or given a chance to defend themselves. Do not work here.
