Great place, lots of very nice knowledgeable people

Company events are almost a requirement to attend after hours.

I worked for southern for a little bit. I have to say I really enjoyed my time with this company! The staff were super friendly and really easy to get along with. The customers you got engage with each day was exciting as there were often new faces. There were also regular customers that you’d work with quite often. The only downside I’d say about working at southern is. Unless you are intelligent in how irrigation works, they will most likely not keep you for very long. Even if you see yourself progress in the knowledge of it. I went into this business knowing nothing really on how Irrigation works, but eventually got a grasp of it as the weeks went by.

Not perfect by any means, and still had a lot to learn. But considering they let a guy go, based on the fact that “He didn’t grasp the concept of Irrigation” even though I knew and customers I’ve served saw the progression! To me it was unfair.
