Estheticians are still classified as independent contractors here, which has been illegal in California for some time. They are only paid when they have a service which makes it impossible to earn a living wage. Appointments are booked by technician seniority, so the only people who are making money are the first and second technicians during a shift. Because of this, there is constant turn over as the company makes money off of you but gives no benefits in return. If you are looking to apply here, don't, it's a waste of your time.
