Pros

Company creates a sense of family Some interesting projects Has attracted some very good people

Cons

Most comfortable acting as a bodyshop Relies on legacy technologies for most of its revenue No real mentoring or career path planning Bad habit of emptying the bench on to engagements whether they are a good fit or not; hurts both employee and reputation of company

Pros

Although a large consultancy firm, Spargonet has the ability to feel at times like a extension to your family. Over time you will work on projects with a lot of blue chip companies, and you will have the opportunities to progress your professional development through training, but you must be self motivated. The Chief Executive Officer, Tony Spargo, and the Managing Director, Ian Chandler, are two of the best managers of people I have ever worked for.

Cons

Unfortunately not all of the management team are as good. Sometimes there is a pressure to limit bench time to a minimum, which can lead to deployments that may not be as convenient as they should be. Salaries at the junior level are good, but pay rises never seem to keep up with the market.
