It's HELL!!! Please avoid it - Design Engineer Spectross Digital Systems Employee Review

Challenging work, end to end understanding, customer interaction

There is whole list of cons, trust me what we have gone through in 2 3 years can't be expressed in words. But here's my try: 1. The review "Life at Spectross" is written by Management people. 2. Be prepared to work for atleast 10 hrs daily including weekends. Sometimes even overnight 3. No personal life/time. MD will call and ask you to come. 4. There is policy for employee benefit. Not even cell phone is allowed coz you may give interview and leave the company 5. Founded in 2005 and after 10 years also its start-up. 6. Number of employees were never greater than 15/16 7. No senior in the company for guidance apart from owner. Max experience of employees is 3 years. All senior people left due to attitude of the owner. 8. Owner/MD Mr Ish is so called "Hardware Expert" in the company who is just copying the reference design. He treat software people like they have nothing to do any driver can be written in few hours. 9. 2 years bond for freshers. Bond amount is 3.5 Lac. 10. Actual in hand salary is too less as performance % is large (around 20~30%) and on average you will receive just 60%. The reason they will give is poor performance. 11. No PF or medical benefits. 12. No good training to freshers and high expectations from day one.

I worked in Spectross for one & half year. It was a good experience and has provided me a good platform to start my career in Embedded Systems. I had experience of working in IT but joined Spectross as a fresher and this decision gave me many things to learn in my professional life. Very good exposure to various responsibilities right from requirement understanding, architecture design, development , testing , customer interaction and many more. You will get to learn new things everyday. (Whereas in bigger organizations this exposure is lesser and freshers dont get chance to learn to learn all this at the start) ) Its a small company, less people but very friendly environment. The Director Sir and colleagues are also very supportive, helpful. Special attention is provided for the security of female employees, MD sir himself or Colleagues used to drop us home and arrange dinner in case of late night working.

Since the location is Delhi, you should be tough enough to maintain your health in continuously changing & extreme weather conditions of Delhi. If you are far from home you will have to wait 5-6 six months to go home. But for tht as well flexible leave policies are made so that you can pre-plan your leaves and you can take long leaves , those living far from Delhi.
