Pros
I worked at Spectrum Events for nine years and left in 2020 during the pandemic. Afterward, I was invited to return, but due to a personal circumstance at the time, I was unable to do so. Looking back, I wish I had returned.
Spectrum Events is truly an amazing company to work for. Working with the Founder and President was one of the highlights of my experience there. They were excellent mentors who were always available when I had questions. They were patient, knowledgeable, supportive, positive, encouraging, (funny) and genuinely invested in helping employees succeed. In all of my interactions with them, they were professional, thoughtful leaders. I learned a tremendous amount from them during my nine years with the company.
The benefits were great, and my compensation was fair and commensurate with my experience and responsibilities. The company provided opportunities for growth, and I always felt supported in my role.
Beyond the work itself, I made some great friends during my time there and still keep in touch with several of them today. That says a lot about the people and culture at Spectrum Events.
Even years later, I still think very highly of Spectrum Events and the leadership team. I would return in a heartbeat if the right opportunity became available. It is a wonderful place to work, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering a career there.
One thing I have learned is that sometimes you do not fully appreciate how special a workplace is until you step away and look back. Spectrum Events is one of those places.
Cons
Absolutely nothing. The only con was that the pandemic happened while I was there.
