Pros

This is by far the best job I've ever had. Speechmatics mission to 'understand every voice' is incredibly inspiring and being surrounded by like-minded people who are driven to remove bias in AI is genuinely amazing. In my two years of working here, I have learnt so much from both kind and generous peers, who are always on hand to support me; the culture is honestly second to none. Our new Conversational AI product is very exciting and I really believe in the companies ground-breaking technology. My boss gives me autonomy and flexibility, whilst guiding me through challenging projects. And most importantly, I feel like I belong.

Cons

Because of the fast-paced nature of a start-up, things can pivot quite quickly, so you have to be quite agile and it can take a bit of time to adjust.

Cons

Sometimes, being we have employees around the globe, there are tough barriers for communicating in a timely manner... but, this is with most international b2b organizations.

Pros

It's great to get sell a world class product that WOWs people in every demo. The team is supportive of one another, NO POLITICS and fun. Unfortunately I'm remote so I only get to have fun vicariously as I see invites for all I'm missing. We actually listen to customers and work with them for success. It's a great place to learn knowing you'll be supported even if you make a mistake.

Cons

Like many companies our size, we are busy putting scalable processes in place to make us more efficient. Being remote, sometimes it's hard to stay up on what's happening in the office. These process improvements are doing a lot to make this better.
