Flexible hours. Can work mornings, nights or both. Usually have the option to pick up extra shifts if wanted. Lots of company perks, upskilling and training at head office. Paid for time and first aid and cpr certs. Most management supportive and take the time to get to know you. Clients can be grateful for the support you provide.
Cons
Short shifts, split shift work which creates an early morning and late night working situation if you’re trying to work a lot of hours which is dangerous. Personal support workers not treated as well as people in the office. Massive pay divide, no team development or lunches like they get. Repetitive routine work Sometimes you don’t get to meet any other coworkers but gossip is spread through the client.
