Pros

Getting to put "start up" on your resume

Cons

CEO is inexperienced and hard headed, so very difficult to work for if you have any experience. With such a small company of 4-5 people, and 4 of them are under 30, it 's not a big surprise. The big surprise was that for such young entrepreneurs, they sure were chauvinistic and close minded. They also made unobtainable projections and pre-launch company results to get investors. It's just not a place for someone looking for stable, reputable employment in Cleveland.

Pros

Start up environment where everybody has a ton of ownership. We work with a lot of smart and hardworking folks who are driven by are vision of making people more powerful than their debt.

Cons

Things move fast here so you’re going to have to be able to pivot quickly. Not a “cushy corporate job”, so be prepared to work hard. Benefits could be better but still a Series C start-up with about 130 folks.

Pros

I've had a great experience working at Splash. The company is majority remote and trusts employees to manage their work without excessive oversight. Leadership is approachable, transparent, and genuinely invested in the success of both the business and its employees. The mission is meaningful, the people are collaborative, and there are plenty of opportunities to contribute beyond your immediate role. The flexibility and work-life balance are among the best I've experienced.

Cons

Like any growing company, priorities can change quickly and teams need to be comfortable adapting. Processes are continually evolving, which can sometimes create ambiguity or require employees to help build structure as the company scales. If you're looking for a highly structured environment where every process is already established, this may not be the right fit.
