Pros

Something good comes from everything in life, but still trying to figure out what good has come from working at Splash.

Cons

The management operates using fear-based scare tactics on their employees, which will continue to effect you and your career, even after your departure. For example: management has blackballed several people from Splash in the job market over the past 2 years, and has threatened to fire qualified employees numerous times without any substantial, factual reason to do so. Employees are blamed for unfortunate circumstances, especially if it is beyond their control. For example, if a client leaves because they can no longer afford to pay for the services, then the employee is responsible for that loss, and it is documented on their performance record. The business model is broken and attrition is high both externally and internally. Clients of Splash typically pay $5000 each month, which vastly outweighs the actual value of service they receive. Employees of Splash cannot deliver quality service to clients when their workload is grossly overloaded. Employee mental health takes a toll. The Employees of Splash are brilliant, energetic and really great people. After employed for about 30 days, you can tell the vast difference in personality, relationship skills, energy levels and overall attitude on account of workload and fear-based stress from management.

Pros

Award-winning video professionals. Veterans of a constantly-evolving web/social media industry. Innovative software developers. Strategic thinkers with valuable experience building successful businesses. The Splash Media team is the perfect mix of technology and creativity; marketers who got in on the ground floor of the digital revolution, television producers/directors who blazed a trail in corporate communications and training, and social media specialists with stellar resumes as branding and content experts.

Cons

Splash Media is great place to learn about video production and it's business structure. I worked in the telecommunications department and handled phone sales. My supervisor was a GREAT coach and awarded us for a successful day. Although, I had knowledge of social media in which surpassed most of the management staff, I was promised a position with the new company developing which is their new business model. I was "let go" due to my call volume, yet I convinced many companies that social media was the new word of mouth marketing. I also even helped with script writing. In the humble beginnings of the new structure they really didn't listen to their employees and I was let go just because of call volume when I had a vast tool set of potential and knowledge which they promised yet didn't deliver.
