Pros
The job was extremely fun but that’s literally the only pro
Cons
Pay wasn’t good I was making 15$ an hour doing management duties. The general manager Mike Virgin was very deceitful. Was told I would get a raise but did not. I would follow up about it and he would tell me that he was working on it. I was doing management duties but still getting paid the same as everyone else. I was scheduling, managing the day, inventory, coordinating breaks, candy orders, etc. it was a lot of work. He lead me on and made it seem like I was the new manager. I worked three months carrying all these duties while getting paid the same as the other employees. I was working 40 plus hours as well. One day he told me that he hired a different manager. After all my work throughout the summer he completely blindsided me. Upper management was also terrible. The owner or ceo I’m not sure exactly was very rude and harsh. He had crazy expectations for the park but no idea how things worked. Just a terrible place to work. If management was different I think it would be wonderful for highschool students summer jobs. But in my time as manager I was told countless times that Mike would lie about pay, hours and time off to them.
