Pros

I joined Spring Health for a few reasons. In my previous two roles, I had the privilege to build experiences that support clinicians in bringing new therapies to market and facilitate patient access to clinical trials. Joining Spring Health was simply an opportunity to do that but at a whole other level; to help millions worldwide live healthier, happier, and longer lives and enable clinicians to deliver personalized care. I also joined the company because of the co-founders. Adam is the world’s top thought leader in computational psychiatry and brings an unprecedented level of clinical and scientific rigor to everything we do. April has gone through a touching mental health journey that made her realize how truly broken the system is. Together they are the perfect blend of determination and competitiveness which makes them unstoppable; a must-have to move the needle in healthcare. The subject matter is also very dear to me. I come from a family where mental illness is somewhat a taboo which has led me to neglect my own mental health historically. And with my father suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, I know all too well how the lack of timely and easy access to qualified clinicians can slowly tear down lives. Finally, I love building software and teams and I am passionate about design. Being again in a position to lead a world-class team of product managers and designers at a hyper-growth company is a chance I just couldn’t pass. Were my expectations met? Yes and then some. The work of my team is indeed impacting the lives of millions worldwide. Adam and April are true rockstars, as is the rest of the Executive team. I've actually never seen that much talent and dedication at the Executive level. I've been able to attract truly talented individuals who embody our values and bring our culture and product to new heights. The mission is real. We talk about it constantly and it drives every single product decision we make. What's coming out of Product is extremely cool and we get to do it with collaborative and super smart cross-functional stakeholders. All in all, Spring Health is in my humble opinion a generational opportunity. Did someone ask me to write this review? No. April and Adam know that I act on my own volition. I should have actually written this review six months ago because my time in Spring Health was great then and is simply even better today.

Cons

Is everything perfect at Spring Health? Not it's not, but it is definitely not as dire as some reviews indicate. While I acknowledge some negative reviews have merit, the company has learned a lot from them. The speed at which positive change is happening is in fact staggering. Without that change, we would not have been able to bring in and retain extremely talented individuals who could have probably found the same role at any other top tech company. If you don't believe me, check who we've hired over the last 9 months. I'm also happy to discuss live what's been said on Glassdoor and how we changed for the better. Given my title, you won't have a hard time finding who I am on LinkedIn.

Pros

Definitely some smart and dedicated co workers. Remote work was nice but they are trying to get rid of it too.

Cons

Company tries to be a FAANG without the pay or proper career structure. You are never doing good. Leadership is out to save themselves before anyone else. Quick to pass blame down. It was honestly a very toxic work environment. Wouldn’t be surprised if someone sues the company from how leaders speak to ICs. Poor manager training leads to unprepared managers. There was a first time manager in engineering who had almost everyone on his team quit, never had a single IC under them promoted and the manager still got a hefty promotion. Very clear that company’s priorities are not in the interests of employees.
