Pros

Literally nothing. The job was damaging emotionally and physically. I’d never experienced a panic attack until working here. In fact, the pressure put on the team alongside the outright lack of empathy on the part of management resulted in me needing to take a mental health leave for the first time in my life. I am not being dramatic in saying that there was absolutely nothing positive about my time with Spring Health. The pay and benefits are not worth the toxicity you will experience.

Cons

Management is HORRIBLE!! Such a lack of empathy that it’s almost unbelievable. Managers micromanage their teams to the point of serious mental health decline. The worst part is, they seem to all be in cahoots and to get some sort of sick pleasure out of it… unless of course you are part of the clique. Spring Health boasts about their dedication to DEI, however they are not accommodating in any way towards neurodivergent individuals. When I expressed that I felt unheard and pushed beyond my limits to management and requested a 1:1, I received no response. Management sets unrealistic expectations for each member of the team daily. No real human can deliver what they expect without damaging their own mental health and crossing boundaries between a work-life balance. If you voice your opinion, you will be outcasted and pushed out. You will receive passive aggressive communication and be given weird justifications as to why micromanaging is necessary.

Pros

Definitely some smart and dedicated co workers. Remote work was nice but they are trying to get rid of it too.

Cons

Company tries to be a FAANG without the pay or proper career structure. You are never doing good. Leadership is out to save themselves before anyone else. Quick to pass blame down. It was honestly a very toxic work environment. Wouldn’t be surprised if someone sues the company from how leaders speak to ICs. Poor manager training leads to unprepared managers. There was a first time manager in engineering who had almost everyone on his team quit, never had a single IC under them promoted and the manager still got a hefty promotion. Very clear that company’s priorities are not in the interests of employees.
