Cons
IMPORTANT: There will be a CEO or a senior adviser telling you every week that they value people more than anything else - don't trust that! That's an illusion which they create to keep the talent and hire more naive people. When it comes to money, they won't care about you and would probably do anything to get rid of you without any extra compensation (even worse than big corporations). They also create favourites which they like more than others. They are very hypocritical and unfair to people unless you are one of the favourites of senior management. The worst thing about this company is that they say that they care about people where in fact they don't at all. Secondly, not that many people know that this startup has existed for around 8 years. This company never truly grew or scaled. There are just no career opportunities in there. The turnover is crazy. It's just not growing. And you will never see the co-founders in the office or participating as they don't care about the company, they just have it as a lifestyle business to make some cash for their families. The company is lead by people who were initially senior managers and now luckily became chief officers because no other qualified professional will work there due to slow growth, low pay and poor culture (or you can say no culture). Last thing, there is no focus in the company, there is no even a product market fit, the company jumps onto contracts and make any product decisions to get the client without thinking the long term business objectives. That's why the tech is buggy, there are bunch of useless features and everything is all over the place. It's great if you are intern, but others won't have good careers there as people don't stay there for more than 1-2 years.
