Pros
Clean work environment. Friendly co- workers mostly....
Cons
Micromanaged, all the time. Small department and two to three managers would be working on the same shift. They also will do quiet firing in ways such as lowering your hours of work each week. For example I started at 25 hours a week during the holiday season. By March, I only had 5 hours a week. I ended up quiting because, they kept changing the layout of the produce to focus and sales. Along with what seasonal produce we had in stock. It made me feel lost and anxiety. Especially when I was only coming in to work 8 hours one week and 5 hours the following 2 weeks. It was just not worth the effort to continue working there. Plus co- workers would gossip about each other. As well as try to undermine you and take credit for your work. I was reprimanded a few times for something I didn't even do. Another employee did that mistake and that employee was eventually promoted. There was also miscommunication at the orientation and all employees were told to pick out new shoes from a catalog. All of us were told we would be given a voucher to pay for the new shoes and that they would arrive with uniform shirts, and other apparel. It turned out we were actually being charged for the shoes. I would not have looked at getting a pair if I was going to pay out of pocket for them, clearly I neede the income more than a new pair of sneakers. Overall, I suppose the gossiping could happen anywhere. However when you add up all the cons. It was just not worth continuing employment there.
