Pros

Wonderful, supportive clinical team- the heart of hospice.

Cons

Horrible management leading to high turnover. Very money driven and NOT patient focused care at all. Patients and families end up getting neglected due to greediness of higher ups. They overload you with caseload and have crazy unrealistic expectations. Not supportive at all and kiss any sort of work life balance goodbye if you choose St Croix.

Pros

Good leadership/management Good benefits Good work life balance Great coworkers and company environment Ability to make more money by picking up on call It’s easy to take time off Company phone Opportunity to qualify for company vehicle

Cons

Weekend on call. We have to be back up every 8-9 weeks Lack of organization No structure for support. Company hires no PRN nurses and is limited to 1 LPN for support. Extra visits are expected to be picked up by case managers who already have a full load. Required to do an occasional admission Very large territory. Occasionally have to drive over an hour for PRN visits or admissions
