The pay is good for a standard 9-5 admin role with little necessity for arduous work toward qualification. Most practices are willing to sponsor any training you do wish to do.
Cons
As a paraplanner, you feel mildly undervalued in most practices, as Advisers generally see you as a necessary obstacle rather that keep them on a leash rather than a planning assistant.

Thanks for sharing your review of working within one of our St. James's Place Partner Practices. We're sorry you didn't have a great experience, and we'd be happy to put you in touch with our People team to discuss further - you can reach them via our Careers website: https://www.sjp.co.uk/careers Best, Charlotte
Strong brand recognition, good training materials, and a professional client-facing image. Colleagues are generally supportive, and there’s exposure to high-net-worth clients which can be valuable for career development.
Cons
High pressure to meet targets, limited flexibility, and compensation structures can feel unbalanced. Processes can be rigid, and progression may depend heavily on networks rather than performance alone.

It’s great to read the positives, but we're sorry you have had a mixed experience so far, and to hear about those experiences which don’t align with the culture we strive for.
