-Overtime is available -Staffing at cool events (Racing, comedy, concerts, sporting events) -Usually low stress (Especially overnight shifts, like monitoring booths at conventions) -Good for someone who needs a few hours a week while in school -You can study during an overnight shift if you bring your books -They'll hire anyone

-Hit or miss with supervisors. Some of them are very friendly and helpful, others are pretty oblivious -You need your availability planned out for entire month and you can not adjust anything once the new month has begun. -Scheduling is done over email, very rarely will you get the shifts you want -You need to call in if you are unavailable for a shift, schedulers never picked up or responded to my voicemails when I was not available for a shift I was given. -Instructions on where to meet for the start of a shift are very vague. If you work at a venue you are unfamiliar with, prepare to go on a scavenger hunt to find the meeting location. -They masquerade as a security company, but they really don't train you how to do any of that. They'll have anyone conduct bag searches or work the metal detectors with no idea what they're doing. -Policies tend to be made up on the spot by different higher-ups. You'll be told one thing by someone and then 10 minutes later someone else will come by and tell you something different. -You're out in the open during a lot of events, so you become a punching bag for anyone to relieve their frustration. -No refrigerators to keep food for meals, and restaurants are not very close either. Keep a stash of food in your car because that's your employee lounge.
