I’ve been at Stakemate for six months, and from the moment I joined I’ve felt genuinely grateful to be part of such a talented, driven, and collaborative team. The culture here is fast-paced but incredibly supportive - everyone is passionate about what they do, and that energy is contagious. It’s the kind of environment that pushes you to grow and do your best work every day.
I was the only female in the London office when I joined, and was aware of a previous review that raised concerns about the culture. However, my experience has been the complete opposite. The founder was extremely thoughtful during my onboarding, making sure I felt comfortable and included and while that effort was appreciated, it honestly wasn’t necessary. Every single person I work with has been nothing but welcoming, respectful, and kind. We’ve naturally built friendships alongside our working relationships during office lunches and outings, and that makes my time here genuinely enjoyable.
Leadership actively fosters a space where curiosity, experimentation, and personal development are encouraged, which is especially valuable to me in a junior role. I feel heard, supported, and constantly motivated by the people around me and the teams' extensive knowledge and experience are things I learn from everyday.
Cons
The start up industry isn't for everyone - Stakemate is a place where you will thrive if you are passionate, motivated and adaptable. It is not an industry that is predictable and for some people that may not suit them personally.
