Thanks for writing this review. We especially appreciate your recognition that we truly listen to our Talent, and we do not retaliate for opposing points of view. After all, we know we don’t know everything, and we are happy to learn. As for our Group Health Insurance, yes we have paid a lot of attention, energy, and money into making sure our Talent gets good health insurance at the best price we can get. It is a brutal and never ending fight for any small business that cares about its employees.
Regarding the Cons, this is great, and I hope my excitement does not come off as rude.
First, all SLPs who have seen their hourly rates and salary rise to the level of Stambush, can thank Stambush for leading the way. These employers have been forced to share more of their profit because of Stambush.
Second, it is true we have not increased our pay for many years now, but that is because the Market has not gone up in terms of what we can charge. To slightly disagree, we do not base our pay on what other agencies pay. We base it on what we get paid.
Third, I cannot say if other SLPs make less, the same, or more, but I can list what we pay and everyone can see for themselves.
SLP
$46.50 per hour
All Tolls Reimbursed (Not Taxed)
All Parking Reimbursed (Not Taxed) and up to $12-$13 per day in the medical center
Up to 4% ($2.26 tax deferred) added on top of hourly rate in 401K company matching.
$69.75 is our overtime rate and we are happy to pay overtime even if we lose money.
Not to mention the above mentioned superior BCBS health Insurance Policy provided.
Fourth, it is true we do not have merit raises, at least not in the traditional sense. With Stambush, merit raises come in the form getting lots of work. Getting lots of work comes in the form of being requested by facilities, being booked first because a person can do so many things, being booked more because a person is willing to drive farther, getting paid overtime because a person is so willing to work a lot. But, being an equal pay company means that (unlike other agencies) we have no corrupt motivation to book a cheaper person first. We believe we should book the best person for a job, and we should not be tempted with which person represents the most profit. But just to be clear, if we were a Facility and not an agency, we would pay differently. It would make sense to us that way. But in the agency world, the motivation is to book the higher paid person last, which ironically can end up making the higher paid person the lowest paid person.
Finally, having been with Stambush for eight years, you are probably an excellent and clinician and person. Staffing is not for the weak, incompetent, or grouchy, but more for the strong, nice, competent and flexible. Congratulations and thank you for your time. We hope you stay with us the rest of your career.
