Where do I even start? The HR is non-existent, which means the managers run their respective teams like a fiefdom. Your Manager's word will be the gospel. The Global management changes every few years, so you will also see the strategy, organization design & management focus change every 3-4 years as well. Fact of the matter is, they have no bigger picture in their mind about what they want the bank to do, every incoming Global CEO will dictate his terms and reinvent the wheel every few years, and then the next CEO will come in & undo everything his predecessor did. For employees on the ground, this means that you're dispensable. Managers have little to no work. In fact, if you're a manager & a big enough sycophant, you can get by with doing nothing & just forwarding every single mail to your juniors and then blame them when things go wrong.
