Pros

Free lunch once a week, black-tie dinner once a year, great meeting room product, the 'feet on the ground' that keep the business running daily (operations, office management, purchasing, inside sales etc.) are all great people

Cons

Fresh out of uni, the thought of working at a tech start-up was an exciting prospect, however, two years later my mental health had been destroyed and StarLeaf had pushed me to the point of quitting with no other job to go to. The CMO (now sacked) bullied our team, fired members without notice, and waved a 'risk list' over our heads like she was the master of some kind of sick game. The management is compiled of weak men who allowed this culture of bullying to manifest itself throughout the business while turning a blind eye as young, talented people were driven out of it. We were the fall-guys for 3 wasted years of appalling marketing decisions made at the top of the business. As a young person in my early 20s, I needed mentorship, guidance, and career cultivation, but this was non-existent (except for two managers in my team who worked with what they had). People are sacked without explanation, long-standing employees are moved to new, senior roles that they have 0 experience in, and, as another review here says, the business 'follows' the industry rather than leads it. Entire projects were abandoned if the Chairman (now CEO) decided he fancied having a go at something else. StarLeaf was the epitome of an Oxbridge boys club (e.g. annual ski trips that only a select group of men were invited to), ran by tech-heads living in echo-chamber. Stay away.

Pros

A product that was ahead of it's time. Some features other players wish that had. If the product were still live it would my first choice over the other products in the market

Cons

Lack of marketing and evolution of product on certain features is what doomed the company. Without that one viral moment which we never had, is major reason on failure
