This is a company that tries its very best on a daily basis to focus on its workforce and its customer. Leadership at all levels, including the owner, have expended a huge amount of time, energy and resources to ensure the safety and well being of every affected employee world wide. A world wide pandemic, unlike anything seen in the last century is obviously a challenge for any company in terms of planning, revenue, staffing, and communication to name only a few. By any objective standard StarTech.com has exceeded all reasonable expectations in terms of employee support: health and safety, flexibility, HR support and financial support. I have enjoyed working here for my entire tenure, and I am even more thankful I work here now.
Cons
Given the societal and economic conditions that have befallen every individual and organization globally in the last 4 months, it would be wrong and naive to say StarTech.com has made no mistakes. Are there things I may have done differently if I were the owner? Of course. But that said, every decision that has been made was reasoned and conservative, and I believe attempting to do the most good for the most people. My Leadership listened to my disagreements and elevated them. I'm sure mistakes were made during the Black Plague too. Mistakes happen even in the best run companies.
