Pros

Nothing, there are no perks.

Cons

Working here was hell. The level of micromanagement from the managers and team leaders in the sales department is enough to ruin your mental well being. They also do not care for the well being of their staff. It is always met with threats of being fired. They run it as if it’s a big bullies club. You are unable to take sick leave as you’ll be questioned. They are sneaky with commission and never get it right. Payroll always has issues. HR is essentially useless and do not even work. They don’t have a presence in the London office. You also get no health insurance, all perks are for management only. They dress it up as a vibrant young office but instead it’s full of mean personalities and arrogance. It is unlikely you’ll get promoted as the managers do not leave room for progression and hoard their positions. They overwork you on days off and even contact you on your holidays about work. Diversity and culture is almost non-existent. And you are expected to prioritise work over anything else in your life including your own children. Avoid working here for own mental well-being!

Dear former employee, thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your experience at Statista. We are truly sorry to hear that your time with us was so negative and that you felt unsupported and micromanaged. The issues you describe regarding leadership style, employee well-being, commission, and communication are very concerning to us. We want to be clear that this is not the experience we want for our employees. Your feedback will be taken seriously and shared internally so that we can better understand where we need to make improvements, especially regarding management practices and support for staff in our international offices. We regret that your experience left you with such strong negative impressions and we will use your input as an opportunity to reflect and further improve. Thank you again for your openness, and we wish you all the best in your future career. Best regards, Your Talent Acquisition Team

Pros

I can't speak for everyone that works here, but considering my specific department and what I do, I love working here and I love the environment I get to do it in. Still get to work from home some days. FANTASTIC parental leave, generous vacation and health days that in crease with a few years in. Friendly office filled with co-workers you actually want to be around. I always say the job is yours to lose if you do what you're supposed to and do it well you shouldn't face too many issues here.

Cons

- Salary needs to be more competitive - Biggest bottleneck is often having to go through our headquarters in Germany which can take forever especially if it's after hours for them and we're still working (wish we were more self-reliant or allowed to be) - Low budget set for profit centers to be able to do certain job functionalities properly sometimes. - Health Insurance needs to be better (better coverage for better pricing) - Missing 401K company match

Dear colleague, Thank you for your detailed and positive review and for sharing your long-term perspective. We’re very pleased to hear that you enjoy your role, the work environment, and the flexibility, benefits, and parental leave offered, as well as the strong sense of community in the New York office. We also appreciate your open and constructive feedback regarding compensation, local autonomy, budgets, and benefits such as health insurance and retirement plans. These are important topics, and perspectives from experienced colleagues help inform ongoing discussions and improvements, particularly across regions. Thank you for your continued commitment and engagement. We’re glad to have you as part of the team and wish you continued success at Statista. Best regards, Team Talent Acquisition

Pros

-The only pro is the people, not any one in leadership (probably due to a trauma bond)

Cons

Where to even start, this company used to be a great company to work for where people came together to help eachother succeed. Our leaders used to care about your growth and success now you are just given more and more responsibility’s and expected to go above and beyond. Where hitting unrealistic targets is just seen as meeting expectations. Leaders and HR set a three days in office policy that employees are expected to adhere to while they never actually show up to the office or if they do they leave at 3pm. People are now often used as scapegoats, and what was once a people first, inclusive culture turned into a culture of blame, micromanagement and favoritism. Add all the above to below market salaries for NYC and that’s the type of company the Statista Americas is. It feels like a sinking ship that everyone is leaving before they have yet another round of layoffs. I would recommend to be very hesitant and in dire need of a job if you are thinking about working here.
