Pros
Most of Stifel's associates are hardworking and willing to put in the hours and work to ensure the job gets done. A relaxed office attire policy that was recently implemented? I'm falling short to provide any other positives at this point.
Cons
The benefits and pay are "ho-hum" at best. They're pushing 12 floors of employees back into the office full-time starting on October 1st, when we've well proven over the last year and a half we can sustain and produce results safely from home. Executive leadership has absolutely no clue what narrative they're trying to push, and every email we receive is tone deaf and confusing. Leadership has the foresight to cancel our big yearly company event due to COVID, but has no problems pushing their Operational teams back into the office during this pandemic. They also have no mask or social distancing requirements in-office, and mandate that both vaccinated and unvaccinated employees return to work. A full return to work at this point in time is reckless, ignorant, and careless. Management encourages you to contact HR with concerns surrounding a return to the office, but HR simply invalidates any concerns you have and responds with canned company rhetoric. It's very counterproductive and belittling. The company is actively trying to hush any COVID outbreaks or cases that occur inside of the office. You'll receive an email stating that somebody on your floor tested positive, but they refuse to disclose who. The floors are very large, so the little bit of information you receive is useless. They simply say you'll be notified if you had contact with that person, which is completely impossible for the company to know outside of looking at a seating chart and making proximity guesses. Morale is awful and teams are falling apart at the seams. The last 6 months have been a sinking ship. IT employees are packing up and shipping out in hoards. Some of our best and most talented employees are leaving because the company refuses to adapt to changing work environments.
