Pros

Remote work and being a part of a rapidly growing startup held some promise, but ultimately the leadership team has consistently failed to deliver over the last 5 years.

Cons

The company really boomed during the pandemic years, and a very inexperienced C Suite team acted as though that accelerated growth would continue unabated for years to come. As most e-commerce brands found during the past two years, that dream of easy success really did not come true. StockX keeps trying to restructure, cut budgets, and raise fees— but the changes needed to truly save the company can’t be accomplished by tilting at windmills every other quarter. The truly terrible and unskilled CMO, CCO, and CPO were finally laid off after years of poor performance, but others in the C Suite need to go. Ops is a mess, Supply Chain consistently misses targets, etc. After 6 rounds of layoffs and minimal business improvements, CEO Scott Cutler should be out the door as well. He’s the one who hired and enabled the leadership team that couldn’t capitalize on the enormous potential StockX had 5 years ago.

Thank you for sharing your experience and views. Having finished 2023 strong, we are proud of our achievements, especially knowing they are despite an incredibly challenging macroeconomic climate. While we respect your opinion, we disagree with your sentiments regarding our leadership team. Given your position and tenure, we appreciate your work and efforts in getting us to where we are as a company—wishing you the best for the future. David Staels - Head of People Experience
