Pros

If you're getting a gig with Storage Squad working a truck for a season, it's just an honest way to make a solid amount of money for a ton of work over a week or two at the start of the summer. If you're in the main office, working through a season with Storage Squad is honestly really fun. It's a wild ride and traveling with the team can be a lot of fun. It's also a ton of work. I always felt respected by my direct boss Chris, and generally the only people who stick around are the good ones.

Cons

Every year we act like it's the last year that we have to be scrambling, but it hasn't gotten much better in the past three years. My big issue was with the founders, who seem to penny pinch on stuff that hamstrings the operations (bad warehouses, making two guys do work that should be done by five). The company was recently bought out and it should be a lot better now

Pros

Lots of great experience and free rein running a social media page and practicing direct marketing. Management was very friendly and flexible.

Cons

Did not receive a lot of guidelines/support from management, had to really be a self-starter and implement a lot of my own ideas. Was also working alone to create a presence for the company at a new school, whereas other universities had multiple employees.
