Pros

The role operates within a two-person management structure, creating a highly collaborative and close-knit working environment. The small team dynamic often leads to a strong professional relationship and close collaboration between colleagues at each location. The role primarily consists of mundane operational responsibilities and follows a generally consistent scheduling structure, with two consecutive days off depending on business needs and staffing arrangements. Every two years, Store Managers from all locations participate in a company-sponsored conference held at a fully funded destination, focused on professional networking, collaboration, and organizational discussions.

Cons

1. Work Environment and Support: Lack of strong support system and a more cohesive work environment. Unfortunately, these concerns went unaddressed, significantly affecting the overall job satisfaction. Attempted to engage in constructive dialogue throughout my role but unmet with any real changes. 2. Security Concerns: My property experienced a multitude of security breaches throughout my career journey, which remained unresolved, leading to a significant number of upstanding tenants vacating the property. These incidents were ongoing after I ended my employment. Despite raising this issue on numerous occasions, the lack of support and resolution caused considerable stress. 4. Tenant Rent Increases: The rent increases imposed on tenants are substantial, leading to constant move-outs and numerous complaints. That not only negatively impacted the tenants but has affected the company's reputation. Despite raising these concerns, they remain unresolved, contributing to a perception of exploitation among tenants. 5. Compensation and Bonuses: Despite considerable discussions, the terms of compensation go unadjusted to reflect the overall responsibilities of the job role. The changes to the monthly bonus structures make it nearly impossible to achieve the promised incentives, resulting in a lack of motivation.
