Pros
The people, flexible working hours, PTO
Cons
As others have said, the company recently enacted a RTO policy that requires employees that live within 40 miles of an office to be in office 2 days a week, with the stipulation that employees that do not adhere to this policy will risk being hit with a performance issue which has the ability to impact their individual bonus metrics and overall compensation. They enacted this policy for the sake of "collaboration" but this would still apply to team members whose manager and entire team besides them is remote. Make it make sense. Meanwhile, remote employees are not affected by this policy at all, and will not be expected to relocate closer to an office (as of now). Less than 30% of the company is even local to an office as of now so it's very concerning that they would hold such a small percentage of the company to such different standards than a majority of employees. Also, the CEO announced this policy change in a video where he as clearly working from home himself (he lives in the Chicago suburbs)...ironic. Clearly the company is can't get out of their corporate lease and is taking it out on employees who didn't move away during the pandemic. After layoffs late last year after the syntellis acquisition, and a complete shift in values and company mission that have nothing to do with our actual products or the services we provide our customers, I have zero faith in our company leadership and it's clear they don't know what they're doing.
