Pros
If you enjoy writing at the academic level on a variety of topics, then you will likely enjoy working as a writer at SNR. They pay reliably, if only on a monthly basis. I had no interactions at all with management, so my experience there was positive.
Cons
By producing work at a level I thought was acceptable, I needed to spend time researching and revising my writing that made my pay roughly equivalent to $10/hr. Other writers may fare differently. For the investment of time needed to monitor the site for acceptable projects and complete enough batches to make a living, I would need to be working full-time. I was not willing to work full-time at $10 an hour and only be paid monthly. Also, they pay via PayPal, which means terrible customer service, % cuts in pay, and unnecessary delays in receipt of deposits.
