Pros

The CEO, Theo Eftimiades, match clients with the 'right' tutor, but also checks in parents and students regularly to evaluate student progress and learn what academic or general support need might have evolved. Additionally, he communicates with tutors consistently, making sure we all have what we need to guide our students towards success in both academics and the development of Executive Functioning Skil sets, which are important for students to become more independent, organized, and focused. Further, as a tutor, you can choose the hours you are able to work, and for families, since we have tutors located across the United States and abroad, we are able to accommodate the times that work best for your hectic calendars.

Cons

Tutor positions are part time; this being said, many tutors are committed to company growth due to their great experiences with clients and the culture within StudentCircle; they, and this also includes myself, want to develop their roles as tutors into full-time positions. This truly says a lot about StudentCircle.

Pros

StudentCircle is a very organized company with great working environments. Theodore, who runs the company really helped me a lot while I was working there. We had one-on-one sessions from time to time where we discuss how the tutor sessions has been going, and there were also optional seminars where all the tutors working in StudentCircle get together, share resources and help each other out! This gave new tutors a great opportunity to learn from experienced tutors. Theodore always tries his best to help his tutors find clients, I never had to worry about not having a client . Working there definitely is a very pleasant experience, and I learned a lot from Theodore; he also gave out suggestions and constructive advice to his tutors. StudentCircle has great pay too! I am thinking about going back to StudentCircle once I graduate from college. Definitely a great tutoring company!

Cons

I left StudentCircle because I am a full-time student in UW, and my workload is getting heavier. In order to be a great tutor with StudentCircle, one must have enough time to commit to the job.
