Pros
1. You'll learn what toxic culture is 2. From now on, You'll research thoroughly about a company before making a decision to join 3. You'll master office politics
Cons
I can try listing the cons. But I'm not sure if I'll ever finish this review. 1. The new CEO seemed a positive change when he had joined. We had townhalls where we understood what's the plan moving forward. But now, it seems like he's completely lost it. No clear direction of what the company intends to do. It's a messy place right now with no one including the CEO having a view of what direction the company wants to move. 2. The CXOs are all arrogant & immature kids. Not sure how these guys became CXOs. Any other company, they'll be found out in a few months and fired. But here, they have the funding from Landmark group and no one from the board has any checks of what these guys are capable of. 3. When you have such immature, incapable folks at top level, you'll eventually end up with beta & gamma middle managers. My manager is one such person who is just working to comfort and console the tantrum throwing so called CXOs. The work of these middle managers is not focused on delivering something impactful for our customers. It's focused on just being in the good books of these CXOs 4. Everything is derived our of a knee jerk reaction. Either the CEO or CFO or CTO or CGO. Nothing is planned for long term. 5. Product team's head is so arrogant and useless. Hirings like this makes everyone question the logical thinking of our CEO & CTO. 6. Suddenly the engineering team became so big with a lot of EMs, SDEs joining. Now 75% folks are simply sitting without any work. But we'll end up doing random work for no use to anybody.
