Pros

-Solid pay for an entry-level, just out of college job -They advance people pretty fast (few years) and you're able to increase your income

Cons

-Rigorous work hours (6:45am-7pm) -For the work that you're actually doing, the pay does not seem worth it at all -A very competitive work environment (people would often come into your classroom and call you out on not having 100% of the classroom's attention at every moment. If one student was not sitting properly or looking at you, they'd call you out, and would do that in front of your entire class) -Had a panic attack while at work which I've never had before.. the stress is just insane and overwhelming -Your breaks during the school day are filled with other things like meetings or reading tests that you do for the students. -Barely get a chance to eat -The environment is horrible for kids. Basically if you are not a student who can pay attention 100% of the time, you will not succeed at this school and they will push you out. I have witnessed it. A student in my class who clearly had an attention disorder and hard family life, was pushed out of the school and I witnessed the mother in tears and disbelief that this was happening to her son. It's devastating. Success Academy only allows the "good" students to remain.

Pros

Working with like minded people who are driven to play their part in helping scholars succeed

Cons

There are a lot of misunderstandings about Success Academy and what it does which means that I often have to represent SA and help people have a more accurate perspective on our work

Pros

Great work life balance and mission-driven people

Cons

Leadership, especially the CEO and COO, are very whimsical. Don't give clear instructions and berate people when output is not what they want.
