Some wonderful talented people worked there, who genuinely cared about clients.

Out of touch management team who say the right things but never delivered. CEO was totally invisible. Aviva takeover has ruined the culture and has meant advisers are being pushed to recommend the Aviva platform. Client service levels have dropped and morale was very low across all departments. Managers were internally promoted with no training and it went poorly. High staff turnover. HR department is not confidential. Frequently, private personal information was made public and spread like wildfire through the offices in a gossip style fashion. Management and HR applied for Diversity & Inclusion awards regularly but never practiced it. I witnessed frequent bullying and gaslighting. When you reach out for support, it was met with empty promises and you were left to continue alone.

Ego led culture from top - invisible ceo Planners paid too much with poor compensation (no bonuses for other staff) Recent acquisitions have been poor - wrong fit with one major one, not applying learnings from the good acquisitions to benefit the whole business, poor client and colleagues outcomes with integrations and Aviva will not see the value from having acquired Succession.
