Pros
The pros would be hours. When it's busy you can work 5-5 and get some serious overtime. This is great but then you also get burned out. Healthcare is decent but going up. Nice Christmas party but not held every year. There was hunting trips, fishing trips, golf tournaments, but it's all fading away.
Cons
Job security. If you make a mistake they have no hesitation to suspend you. And then threaten you and remind you constantly of the one mistake. Company is lacking standards which in my position standards would of helped a lot of errors coming through. No matter the proposal, it's glanced at and tossed aside without discussion. No future goals They just want to continue working their employees 5-5 mon thru sun. Instead of making sound changes. I saw exhausted and frustrated coworkers daily. Training One of the programs I used offered free training in which I had zero experience. They still wouldn't schedule it for me. If I used it incorrectly I was chewed out, then when I asked for training they balked. Help me help you. Very rare to get any training. They express the want to make changes, I think it's more of fear for accountability of the change. There is a lot of fear pushed around and it was sad to receive and watch. Engineers, get ready to work 7-5 mon - fri. And prepared to not do any engineering. It's more project engineering or "quoting". You are paid for 40hrs a week. Information is hoarded because it can't be in the open. Most will hide information. Pay was avg to below. Actual moral was devastatingly bad. Salary treats hourly and shop men poorly. There is a demeaning feel which both sides know is true. Most have only ever worked here and don't know much better. Bosses lack leadership skills and real callaboration techniques. A bark in orders mentality is strong. CEO new CEO who seem more informative. I was told it changes frequently. Company is really owned by a Russian investor. Overall Out of my tens years experience in my career this was sadly the worst place I have worked. I wish them well as I had to resign.
