Pros

Still some quality people left from the original company.

Cons

This used to be a nice small company to work for made up of dedicated and communicative people. It was bought by a larger company and there's been a great deal of turnover and it's now a faceless bureacracy.

Pros

The team at Summit is a smart, dedicated group of professionals. They are incredibly supportive and work efficiently. Management is also excellent - they are kind, supportive, and ready to help folks advance.

Cons

Most of the company works remotely, which is helpful for many folks but makes the company culture more business-like.

Pros

They acquired the company I work for, announcing a rapid surge of 'onboarding' meetings in the first three days, as all staff were totally surprised and had no idea what was happening, which is on brand for PE takeovers due to NDAs. The pro here is that they front loaded 3 meetings a day for 3 days to a shocked group of dedicated employees whose company was acquired to try to capture time with them.

Cons

The presenting Summit leadership had zero curiosity, the meeting was 100% information download, zero org health insights - it really lived up to the M and A, private equity takeover experience, even talking about their plan to "drive company growth" while everyone was in shock and there was no rapport. It was a shocking approach has resulted in alienating talented people who are international experts in their field. I still have no idea what they have to offer as an employer - their introduction was so alienating that I am trying to remain open to learn about them, but it is extremely difficult to do so.
