Pros
SHG is a small company, so it is very easy to be a big fish in a small pond. Hard work is recognized by local as well as corporate management team. Overall culture within the company is very positive and team-based environment. Hotels go above and beyond to provide excellent service to guests, which makes job as a sales person much easier. Employees under mid level managers are not micromanaged at all.
Cons
Benefits and pay are sub-par compared to the industry standards. No opportunities for advancement are provided at any level of the organization. Company ownership does not know what it is doing, and tries to micro-manage every decision that gets made by GMs and DOSs.
