Sun Auto Tire & Service

Is this your company?

Experience largely depends on location and team - Service Writer Sun Auto Tire & Service Employee Review

Pros

- Direct contact with district manager and store manager - Relatively short hours compared to competitors like Christian Brothers or Firestone - Pay is better than competitors like Firestone or NTB

Cons

- Many of the stores are transitioning into a commission-only pay structure, so if the store hasn't transitioned yet, then pay may be uncertain and can change without notice - Competence level of store managers and district managers are oftentimes low, so when new-hires need support they're reliant on other team members from different stores (this can cause issues when you need a quick answer)

Pros

The people I started out with were good which is unfortunately why I stayed so long even after they were moved.

Cons

Do you like spending time with your family? Do you like to be under a constant amount of stress to the point that you will damage your relationships? Do you like to fully run an automotive shop with minimum pay since you don’t technically have the manager title? Do you want to have to pick and choose what bills get paid every month? My only regret is I didn’t make the company big wigs lives worse in some way before I dipped. I would hesitate to recommend this job to someone I hate. If you’d like to work at a place where if you die they will have your job opening put up within the hour, come work for Sun where you’re just a faceless number!
