Pros

Great benefits, prizes and incentives and vacation trips.

Cons

Some stores are overworked and dried up for generating a lead. Too much travel time. You might be able to get a good quality lead, but you still have to depend on the Home rep to be good in order to close it for you to make the commission structure, they are offering. They put you in ethnic territory, knowing the people will not qualify with the proper documentation, even though they are legitimate homeowners. Not enough, bilingual home reps to go around, even though you are placed in heavy ethnic areas or a second language is needed. Company constantly telling employees to buy their stock even as it’s been performing bad. Lead generator can get terminated due to no fault of their own, but rather because a bad home representative did not do his job properly.

Pros

There’s a clear sense of purpose in the product, since it connects directly to lowering energy costs and cleaner power in California. When conversations go well, you can see people move from uncertainty to interest pretty quickly, which makes the work feel meaningful in short bursts. The retail environment also builds strong communication skills fast.

Cons

The pace can be repetitive, with similar objections and explanations throughout the day, and performance is closely tied to metrics. Some days feel more like managing skepticism than having new conversations, which can be draining over time.
