Pros
Gives early career sales professionals a chance to make good money. You will learn a lot about sales and hone your skills. Great coworkers and managers who support each other. Higher base pay than many other sales roles, and good benefits
Cons
Hire and fire culture, extreme micromanagement, and no trust from leadership. Company direction is unclear; expectations shift from week to week with harsh scrutiny if metrics are not immediately met. Sales employees are on constantly on edge worried if they are going to get fired. Upper management blames sales dept. for low numbers, despite not having adequate inbound leads and hiring more and more salespeople. I have seen 3 sales directors ousted over 18 months' time because they either didn't agree with upper management or didn't bring instantaneous results, despite facing major operational challenges and friction from upper management.
