Pros

Some friendly people in department I worked in

Cons

Management truly undervalues employees, works them to the bone and refuses to hire additional people because they’re cheap Higher level management seems to be either completely blind to the issues in their respective departments, or aware of them, yet they choose to do nothing There are some absolutely TOXIC employees who have been able to stay at the company for years while doing little to no work, blaming their mistakes on others, and making wildly inappropriate comments to coworkers, simply because they are favored by their supervisors Little to no formal training for my position, I was forced to learn through trial and error Depressing environment Nearly nonexistent benefits - so called “breakfast” is high calorie Chinese pastries All in all, no one is held accountable for their actions. You try to make constructive suggestions and you are ignored, you voice any sort of complaint (formal or informal) and you become isolated.

Pros

I have enjoyed working in the Supermicro IT & DataCenter infrastructure group. It's an exciting opportunity to be directly involved in some of the most impactful trends in the industry, including AI infrastructure, liquid cooling, high-density computing, and next-generation data center design. As an IT Director focused on Applications and data center infrastructure, I have been able to work with talented, dedicated engineers and business leaders to meet complex customer requirements. The company moves quickly, embraces innovation, and provides opportunities to make meaningful contributions rather than getting lost in layers of bureaucracy.

Cons

The pace can be demanding, and priorities sometimes shift as the business continues to grow rapidly. There are times when processes, tools, and organizational structures are still catching up to the company's expansion. Success often requires flexibility, a willingness to take ownership, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Employees who prefer highly structured environments and clearly defined boundaries may find the pace challenging.
