Pros

some people are smart and nice to work with

Cons

*Arrogant, intimidating, verbally abusing culture. This is Super Micro way. *25 years of dictatorship. Now it's time to realize you cannot control everything. *Legal - good at B.S. and verbally abusing and blaming others, commanding and arrogant attitude. jc. weasel. *HR is helpless and useless. Even if you have an issue, don't expect a support from them. Their "not-my-problem" mentality does not solve any issues. *Very stingy Asian culture. Little bonus, no 401K matching. Company wants to spend for new buildings, not for employees. *No VPN access granted for many. you are forced to work in the office. *Free breakfast - high calorie Chinese pastries and small amount of bagels. *Free dinner is even worse. Chinese food or Pizza. Tastes same everyday and not great. Need to order by 2pm otherwise you have no food provided for your overtime. *No work life balance here.

Pros

I have enjoyed working in the Supermicro IT & DataCenter infrastructure group. It's an exciting opportunity to be directly involved in some of the most impactful trends in the industry, including AI infrastructure, liquid cooling, high-density computing, and next-generation data center design. As an IT Director focused on Applications and data center infrastructure, I have been able to work with talented, dedicated engineers and business leaders to meet complex customer requirements. The company moves quickly, embraces innovation, and provides opportunities to make meaningful contributions rather than getting lost in layers of bureaucracy.

Cons

The pace can be demanding, and priorities sometimes shift as the business continues to grow rapidly. There are times when processes, tools, and organizational structures are still catching up to the company's expansion. Success often requires flexibility, a willingness to take ownership, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Employees who prefer highly structured environments and clearly defined boundaries may find the pace challenging.
