Pros

They have Decent salary, slightly below that of industry averages. There is good peer cohesion. Good upper management, VPs, etc...

Cons

Terrible middle management. Give their workload to subordinates, take credit to upper management. Uninvolved and do not back their own groups. Only get involved in their employees when they need to answer to upper management or to CYA, then suddenly become micro managers. Bad at both ends of the spectrum. Throw their own under the bus, tend to have high turnovers within their groups. Unfortunately, they get the final say who's right or wrong, who stays or goes, when they are the ones who should be cut loose. Some are good ppl, but they have no clue nor business managing ppl. Younger employees scared to discuss issues, older employees know better than to do so. Some are the biggest sources of office gossip and politics, feel empowered because they are in-the-know, and spread the dirt on their underlings. Mid management is definitely the weak link in SES's chain.

Pros

Benefits- decent health insurance and dental

Micromanagement department that will burn you out. Too much politics and no bonus for hourly employees or raises. On-site 5 days a week and no work from home policy.
