Pros

Working at Superscript has been incredibly rewarding so far, I couldn’t ask for more lovely work colleagues who made me feel welcome from day one and that feeling has only grown over time. There is a constant flow of communication. The game plan and commercial road shows are really insightful days in to the business and provide a transparency to the wider business. There's an open door policy at every level, and it's easy to have ongoing and constructive conversations with team members and managers. This openness fosters innovation and ensures that everyone’s ideas are heard, valued, and acted upon. There’s a genuine desire to see each other succeed, and that’s reflected in the way people approach every project. I never feel like I'm working in isolation; instead, I know I can count on everyone around me for help, advice, and support whenever I need it. The set days in the office has provided more structure in teams and means that you are able to see your team on set days a week and has been a welcomed change! The leadership at Superscript truly understands the value of fostering an open, communicative culture. It’s refreshing to work in a place where everyone is encouraged to share ideas and feedback, and where those contributions are taken seriously.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re thrilled to hear your time here has been so positive and rewarding. Creating a supportive environment is something we take great pride in. The feedback on communication and transparency is also much appreciated. Our game plan and commercial roadshows are designed to provide clear insight into the wider business and its goals — so it’s great to know they are helpful. We’ve worked hard to foster an open-door culture across all levels of the business, ensuring everyone feels empowered to share ideas, ask questions and offer feedback. It’s heartening to hear that you feel supported and part of a collaborative team, as that’s exactly the environment we strive to create. It’s good to know the set office days have had a positive shift for you. The structure and regular team interactions are intended to strengthen connections and make collaboration easier. We’re delighted to hear your thoughts on our leadership and its focus on openness and inclusivity. Encouraging a culture of innovation and shared success is at the heart of what we do, and feedback like yours reassures us that we’re on the right path. Thank you again for your glowing review.

- Superscript provides high levels of autonomous work and good career prospects. - A very sociable company with plenty of focus on wellbeing and mental health - The EXCo at Superscript deeply care about the success of the business - Superscript actively seeks feedback from their employees on how to improve and actually action this feedback

Cons

- Growing pains are reasonably common for a company the size of Superscript. - Technical challenges are often not completely understood. - Workload expectations are ambitious in relation to headcount, especially given the complexity of systems and interdependent processes. - Can be tricky to find a free desk on busy days in the office.

I held off on posting a review while the company went through some big changes, but things still aren’t great for regular employees. Heads-up if you’re thinking about working here: - The CEO, CFO, and a co-founder all got replaced recently, which shook things up a lot. - The company’s staying alive on investor cash and has about a year to start making money. - They just laid off around 15 people in another round of cuts. - No pay raises, but they expect you to keep stepping up your game. - The new CEO’s all about business and not so much about people. If you ask questions, you might get told to just quit if you’re not happy. - Diversity’s taken a hit. More than half of the people let go were PoC, even though they’re a smaller part of the company. The execs say they care about diversity, but you wouldn’t know it looking at the team. - Morale’s super low, and people are leaving left and right. They try to be open, but get defensive when you ask stuff. - It’s a high-stress vibe, and they’ve cut most of the fun social stuff. It’s not got the startup energy or the cash and stability of a big company.
