Pros

SupplyHouse.com is definitely a unique place to work, it truly feels more like a community rather than a corporate environment. There are many benefits that the company offers - including health care, 401k, food, onsite gym, pet friendly environment etc. But, what I enjoy the most about SupplyHouse.com is the camaraderie and friendships that are developed as a part of working here. The company hosts many events including giving back opportunities, movie nights, game nights, and more - all of which helps to foster close relationships with coworkers. The company works hard to hire like minded people to ensure its core values are met. It's refreshing to be in an environment where my values and beliefs are shared with the people I see every day.

Cons

I wouldn't necessarily say this concern is a downside - but there are times when we have to wait for feedback from other people in order to move forward with a project. While this is typical for any company, I think this process takes much longer than necessary and sometimes puts projects on hold for a longer period of time. I think this occurs simply because we are growing at a rapid rate and have a bit of trouble keeping up with the work flow that is a result of growth.

Pros

Mostly great coworkers in the warehouse. You can get a lot of hours. Unintentional weightlifting gains.

Cons

They pretend that harassment (racial, sexual, and otherwise) doesn’t happen to their employees and will try to get you in trouble if you talk about it. Promotions are given to people the managers are friends with, not to high performers. Workloads are not split evenly and friends of the managers will get easier days (such as multi B carts which allow you to get your lines (numbers that measure work) very quickly when picking, as opposed to pallets which are often HUGE items or massive amounts of product and have you literally running across their hot warehouse all day). Frequently sexist assignments (women not assigned certain areas). Firing people so fast that they need name tags because they didn’t even know their name yet. Racist comments (ie. making fun of Nepali coworkers) are apparently a fine thing to say. Someone telling you they jacked it in the bathroom to you is apparently also fine. If you’re receiving the water heaters, you will need to frequently lift them over your head by yourself for hours (expect injuries and often). No AC.
