Pros

Great co-workers including designers, engineers and product owners Exciting and limitless industry in blockchain Flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the world Diversity on the team and meeting people from different cultures

Cons

Management struggles with clarity and alignment. A lot of widespread initiatives make it challenging to focus on doing excellent work in a single area Most emphasis is on research and creative vs engineering and product delivery

Pros

I started working here fresh out of college when it only had a handful of employees. The CEO and executive team were amazing. They nurtured my talents and trained me, often letting me explore my various interests in different roles. They were open to new ideas and relatively accessible. The opportunities and experiences I had at this company ultimately led me to where I am today and for that I am very grateful. The company grew exponentially during the couple of years I was there. CEO is insanely driven and resilient. The co founders are empathetic people. Work life balance was very reasonable - I was simultaneously in grad school and managed well.

Cons

I was employed at the company during a period of internal drama (which every startup will experience at least once). I’m assuming that many of the negative reviews here were related to that drama. From my own experiences and opinion, the CEO and the current/existing founding team did the best that they could with the situation. While I don’t know the full story, in my opinion and from what I did know and can confirm, the CEO and existing leadership were not the unethical parties. That said, I do think that communication break downs and the misalignment of values were the main culprit for igniting the conflict, which everyone involved should still take some responsibility for. I think leadership just needed to vet hires more carefully and communicate with their team more often so that rumors don’t distort reality. That said, all this happened years ago and the company is thriving today. I’m just bringing it up to offer a bit more context to the other reviews here.
