Pros

Local store employees are like family. 40% discount is nice.

Cons

Pay scale is such that even with the generous discount most employees can't afford to take advantage of it. Raises are few, far between and minuscule when they do occur. Corporate reduced 1 - 40% off electric a month to 2 a year. Like anyone could afford them anyway. Just a way of showing the employees how much we are loved. Corporate couldn't care less about the welfare or happiness of the store level employees.

- Very fun work - Get to work with professional chefs - You will actually learn more about cooking in this position than you will taking the classes - Employee discounts

Cons

- Low pay with no opportunity for advancement, not a career path - Sometimes kitchen is understaffed, putting a lot of pressure on you
