Pros

I loved coming to work every day because I knew that the folks coming to my classes really wanted to learn. Also, the kitchen set up allowed me to engage with the students in such an authentic manner, I never felt like I was out of reach, we were truly able to get into the food and what made flavors mesh. I always felt like each class was one big family meal. I miss that.

Cons

I wasn’t able to stray from the corporate recipes at all, even if I felt it would benefit the class to change something. I am always more interested in being authentic than “sales-y” and my classes sold more products because of that.

- Very fun work - Get to work with professional chefs - You will actually learn more about cooking in this position than you will taking the classes - Employee discounts

Cons

- Low pay with no opportunity for advancement, not a career path - Sometimes kitchen is understaffed, putting a lot of pressure on you
